A new and up coming technology is one that bypasses a worn and tired system. Every person uses it. Most every person needs it. If you are to lazy to get up and go to the store you call for pizza. If you are away from family and friends you use it. If you just want to chat it up with a sexy young vixen you use it. The technology I am getting at here is the telephone. It has been used for generations and it seems finally now after years of science fiction drama it has come to fruition. This new break through technology is Skype, while not exactly where it could be the potential is there if only the people can grasp it. If you have a solid broadband Internet connect you can maintain excellent call quality while having a live video feed of the person you are talking with. I know a lot of people may be thinking it is only applicable to use Skype if you are sitting by your computer, or if you have a iphone or windows mobile device which is pointless since it is a cell phone. Well this is totally inaccurate. If you do have one of these cell phones using Skype will save your minutes and if you decide to pay for a unlimited Internet plan which usually costs around 30 dollars while paying for your minutes is a upward of 40 this can save you tons of money while allowing you to talk as much as you want. Simply install Skype and use your Internet connect to make a call instead of your phone. Simple as that. This isn't the only application either. Many cordless home phones have been created to serve as your telephone. Many options are listed on the Skype website and sold locally in most major electronic stores. This service is very cheap if you only want to call people in the United States you can expect to pay 3 dollars a month and 10 dollars a year for your own number which you don't need if you don't want it. Simply put the phone companies are ripping you off and this technology gives the power back to the people. The Internet is a beautiful thing and I urge everyone to protect its freedom.
